Last month, we organized a workshop on FUNGAL PHYLOGENOMICS, with 16 participants from Czechia, Hungary, Italy, and Poland. I presented an open lecture about #Laboulbeniomycetes (of course πππͺ²). The workshop was funded through our Visegrad Fund grant no. 22420237.
What a week! #newPI π
- Libelje submitted our Honduran checklist paper
- drafted a manuscript on priorities for citizen science in mycology
- AimΓ©e started preparing for her PhD interview
- planned fieldwork in #Brunei
- started finalizing our #TeamLaboul best practices paper on #Laboulbeniomycetes
Getting ready for my lecture on #Laboulbeniomycetes. Hopefully a few more people will show up π π
π’ I wrote an article with @jonathancazabonne.bsky.social for @theconversation.com about the need for fungal conservation (and funding, and attention all-round)! We also mention knowledge shortfalls and #Laboulbeniomycetes as a case study for poorly studied taxa. theconversation.com/fungi-are-am...
Our latest #Preprint on knowledge gaps, or shortfalls, in understudied taxaβwith #Laboulbeniomycetes as case study, led by @jonathancazabonne.bsky.social. www.authorea.com/users/891997... #TeamLaboul
π£New book chapter preprint: We explored knowledge gaps for #Laboulbeniomycetes, a clade of understudied #microfungi, and introduced a new #shortfall named after Roland Thaxter.
Big thanks to the coauthors! @tommartin2024.bsky.social @dhaelewa.bsky.social
