There's a green, tree-covered hill on the right angling down towards the middle, and tall trees on the right angling up from the middle to the upper right edge of the image. In between the two angles of greenery are mountains in the distance, with the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers barely visible. All of this is reflected in the lake, as ripples from a light breeze obscure the sky's reflection directly in front of the photographer, clearing up just before the reflection of the mountains, which is as clear as the reflection of the hill and trees. In the bottom right foreground are several spikes of New Zealand flax.
Managed to catch a fairly still moment between bouts of rain this morning at Lake Matheson. The peace and birdsong were a balm to my soul, and I wish I could have spent several hours basking in it.
