A grey day, along the lakeshore. Lake Ontario is to the left with the shoreline running left to right, with visible waves and beach visible. It is winter and the grasses and weeds are brown and dried out, the trees overhanging the shoreline to the right are bare, with branches stretching across the top of the image. In the distance on a peninsula, just visible, is a nuclear power plant. We lived entirely too close, in my opinion.

In the left side of the frame, a dock with three seagulls sitting on the railings and a life buoy hung on a post can be seen as can its reflections in the water. The ripples in the water fade to almost nothing towards the right side of the frame. The background behind the dock is entirely white, as is the upper portion of the right side of the frame due to fog.
