British retailer Frasers enters leisure market with stake in We Do Play
Investing.com -- British sportswear and fashion retailer Frasers Group PLC (LON:FRAS) has expanded into the leisure activity sector by acquiring a minority stake in We Do Play, the company said on Wednesday.
The company stated that the partnership offers synergies with its existing portfolio, which includes the Sports Direct retail chain.
The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed by Frasers.
This acquisition marks Frasers’ first entry into the leisure activity market as the retailer continues to diversify its business interests beyond its traditional retail operations.
We Do Play operates Rumble Rooms and the gaming venues Activate.
