Patel’s drinking has been a recurring source of concern, often drinking to the point of obvious intoxication. Meetings and briefings had to be rescheduled as a result of his alcohol-fueled nights. On multiple occasions, his security detail had difficulty waking Patel because he was intoxicated.

my unpopular opinion is that we're better off with Kash running the FBI and we should hope he keeps his job as long as Trump does

Patel is erratic, suspicious of others, and prone to jumping to conclusions before he has necessary evidence, according to current and former FBI officials, staff at intelligence agencies, hospitality-industry workers, members of Congress, political operatives, lobbyists, and former advisers.
💥 Patel's drinking, great concern. Drinks to obvious intoxication around WH staff, morning meetings pushed back after nights of heavy drinking
💥 The FBI Director Is MIA 🤷♂️ Kash Patel has alarmed colleagues with episodes of excessive drinking & unexplained absences www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

Many officials expected Patel would be fired after Pam Bondi’s ouster, April 2. “We’re all just waiting for the word” that Patel is officially out of the top job, and Patel was “rightly paranoid.” Senior members of the Trump administration are already discussing who might replace him.
My shortlist of people Trump might fire soon includes
Patel (#1 with a bullet)
Hegseth
What’s her name at DOL

Lutnik
Gabbard

Kash has been suffering from a painful lack of piggyback rides since Bongino left.
I realized that without doing so consciously I was thinking of these two as some kind of masterminds because of their jobs and the damage they've done, but under the robes they're garden-variety, even boring MAGA stooges, no different than a Bessent or a Patel, and as such are vain and stupid.
That will not go well for Patel
Kash Patel advisor Erica Knight says a “lawsuit is being filed” over The Atlantic’s article alleging that the FBI director’s drinking has been “a recurring source of concern across the government.”
Patel retweeted the post.
Update: Kash been drunk since inauguration
"The problems with Patel's conduct go well beyond what has been previously known, and include both conspicuous inebriation and unexplained absences. His behavior has often alarmed officials at the FBI and the DoJ."

“On multiple occasions in the past year, members of his security detail had difficulty waking Patel because he was seemingly intoxicated, according to information supplied to Justice Department and White House officials.” www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...
Hegseth and Patel running the US like it’s Fyre Festival
haven't read the Patel piece yet, is Bongino a source?
On Friday, April 10, as FBI Director Kash Patel was preparing to leave work for the weekend, he struggled to log into an internal computer system. He quickly became convinced that he had been locked out, and he panicked, frantically calling aides and allies to announce that he had been fired by the White House, according to nine people familiar with his outreach. Two of these people described his behavior as a “freak-out.” Patel oversees an agency that employs roughly 38,000 people, including many who are trained to investigate and verify information that can be presented under oath in a court of law. News of his emotional outburst ricocheted through the bureau, prompting chatter among officials and, in some corners of the building, expressions of relief. The White House fielded calls from the bureau and from members of Congress asking who was now in charge of the FBI.
I hope when Kash is eventually fired they DO just lock him out of the FBI systems, bc that obviously is a deep fear of his and he deserves it.

As much of a disaster as Patel is, is he even in the top three worst of Trump’s cabinet members?

“Patel’s drinking has been a recurring source of concern across the government. They said that he is known to drink to the point of obvious intoxication….On multiple occasions in the past year, members of his security detail had difficulty waking Patel because he was seemingly intoxicated…”
also re: the patel story, while trump’s a teetotaler i can’t ever recall him going after someone for their drinking, for all the prodigious alcoholics he’s kept around
[P] Amazingly, Patel is only the *second*-worst "Trump administration colossal asshole with very probable alcohol addiction issues that directly threaten national security".
(Congrats, Pete Hegseth!)
“On multiple occasions in the past year, members of his security detail had difficulty waking Patel because he was seemingly intoxicated…A request for “breaching equipment”—normally used by SWAT and hostage-rescue teams—was made last year because Patel had been unreachable behind locked doors.”🚨🍸🥃🍻🍺
"The pressure on Kash is particularly intense. The indictment of Comey, Kash’s more aggressive purges, his effort to perp walk Comey — they all come in the wake of the installation of former Missouri Attorney General Bailey as babysitter for Kash & Bongino, a constant threat that he would be fired."
