A New Way to Follow Phoblographer Spread the love We’re trying new things! In a world so riddled with AI slop and sloppy content churned out for clicks, the only way to make real human voices heard is to shout from every corner; RSS feeds, newsletters, social media or even messaging apps like Telegram. For those who haven’t heard yet of this nifty little app, Telegram is kind of similar to WhatsApp except where it matters, such as AI not being embedded in the app or not belonging to Meta. It’s got a fairly impressive user base, with over 450 million daily active users — that’s a sixteenth of the world population, just so you know. With such numbers, it only made sense to join the likes of The Guardian or the New York Times, in an effort to expand our viewer base and make it even easier for you to follow the latest in Human Photography. Get the newest pieces — and some carefully selected old ones, thrown in for good measure. Let us show you what you’ve been missing! We want you to get the most out of our website, and we’re making it easier than ever. ## A Quick How-To **How to access Telegram** : Download the Telegram app on your App Store, or visit https://telegram.org to get started. **How to follow The Phoblographer** : Look for @thephoblographer on Telegram and hit Follow at the bottom of the screen. You can also find us here. **What content you can expect to find** : A quick breakdown of our latest news, in addition to the occasional throwback to our favorite pieces over the years. ## Subscribe for a better viewing experience! As you may know, we’re a small team of really hard workers. Your subscription —monthly or yearly— would do wonders to keep us well supplied with coffee, tea, and donuts, while allowing you to browse through our more than twenty thousand articles completely ad-free. In addition, you’ll also get exclusive perks such as a discount on Capture One or access to all our published ebooks! app Cameras lenses News telegram the phoblographer Shares Previous Post ### Nikon’s New Patent Could Fill the Biggest Gap in the Z-Mount Lineup

An incredibly variegated, arched & ancient mount of stratified rock. It's mostly of eons old, mostly of igneous (volcanic) rock. The volcano cores nearby are taller but are so old, it's not apparent that this is what they are. This was likely a smaller upheaval of lava pushing other sediment layers upwards. It's actually insignificant looking by comparison, until you look more closely!

The same little mount of upheaval rock & sediment from across the salt flats. This time, from this distance, the flats are covered with briney water that is from the springtime, winter rains, the upwelling of groundwater and spring runoff from the mountains & valleys nearby. It's never been deep enough to be called a lake -although at least some water collects each spring. It never lasts for very long! It evaporates quickly by means of sunlight, wind & heat. It is also always spectacular, brief as it is.
