Not happy with the wind, rain, snow, cold....just as well he's got a nice, cosy sleeping box..and feeding station closeby (which he's also using as an ensuite lavatory recently!).

Big news on #hedgehog front. There are now two! Im guessing Mr and Mrs given the little snuggle and size difference. Here's hoping ... we've had hogs stay with us for last few years but no hoglets...yet.

We use a cheap trap camera - and the lens needs a clean and probably set a little further back from the box - but we can monitor activity even if we wont win any photography prizes. It's all about the #hedgehogs!
Not bad for a modern house in a housing estate in a city!

It's been a few months since I posted about #hedgehogs. Here's our tenant, getting up from hibernation on the 18th March (a cold spring).
Fabulous to see the hog again - and they've been really active in a week we've been on holiday!

We live beside a school. Why don't pupils care about their environment? Is it (1) Poor education; or (2) lack of understanding of the social.and environmental.impact of littering? It's both of course, but why does this appear a peculiarly Scottish/UK problem?

Maybe more concerning, one of 'our' local hedgehogs out and about at Christmas! Not unknown for hedgehogs to wake up for an occasional feed during winter; and it hasn't been too cold until now, but still a worry.
