Ahh nothing better than punching into work for overtime, and a library patron asking why they canβt go into the library at 8am when we open on Saturdays at 9am.
I reminded him of those times, he said okay and seemed to move away. He then asked two other colleagues the SAME!

Actual conversation I just had with a patron.
Me: βSorry, no food in the library. Please put it away in the bag area.β
Student: βBut Iβm not eating it.β
Me: βYouβre not eating βright nowβ.β
Made all the more that they had food containers and just⦠ahhh!

Nothing more fun than working at the library and a request is put in for an item from the reserved collection.
β¦ 5 minutes before the library is to close.
And the item in a pamphlet box that was on two parts, so had to search a fair bit.

I need to learn how to use a Cricut. Iβm also scared of the Cricut π but Iβm not cutting out all those letters for displays for summer reading. #Libraries #SummerReading #LibrarianWoes
So much good info and interesting ideas ... that I'm not positioned or funded to implement. Drat.

Honestly, if I could go back in time I'd have a word with folks who thought that thousands of different referencing styles and worrying compulsively about punctuation was a good idea! So many students tie themselves up in knots over referencing! #Referencing #Citing #Citations #LibrarianWoes
23 emails from one student in one day isn't just 23 emails from one student in one day. It's psychologically draining. Especially when repeatedly confronted with questions already answered, more than once, in previous emails. (I can't imagine they'll ever see this, we're ok.) #LibrarianWoes
