I don't remember taking this one but I think it was a Canadian Goldfinch, very early springtime some years back. The central subject is a small bird, which appears to be a male American Goldfinch, identified by its bright yellow plumage and black wings with white markings. It lacks the streaking found on similar species like the Pine Siskin. The bird is captured mid-action, taking off from a branch, with its wings in the downbeat spread. The background is mostly brown blurred vegetation in the morning.

The goldfinch spread its wings to fly away & start a new life, claiming it needed to get back to nature and find a job in the woods 'coz the city was draining its "chirpiness".
