We want @SeattleSDCI to acknowledge and enforce code: You can’t direct lights like these away from “adjacent properties”. The lights are too bright and cause to much #lighttrespass for small in-city lots.
Reported over a year ago-maybe 1.5 years ago. Why do we allow 5000K residential lighting? It is whiter than our #streetlights and they don’t point down they cause #lighttrespass @SeattleSDCI #enforcecode the last house is the light’s shining at the house across the street
Tonight’s #darkskyfriendly light is a single amber light bulb in an unshielded fixture. Notice there is little #lightpollution or #lighttrespass coming from the amber light. Contrast that to a white (blue-emitting) LED bulb. (Both photos were taken in close proximity).
Look at the photo of these unlucky neighbors. These houses must have their #LightTrespass blinds and curtains closed by twilight when these lights come on. You guessed it -on a clear night when you look up you can’t find even our brightest stars. #bedarkskyfriendly
