Photograph taken looking along two weathered pieces of driftwood lying on the sand. Sea is barely visible (low tide). Sand is a deep gold and relatively flat. Blue sky overhead with a stripe of white cloud. Taken at Little Crosby beach, Merseyside. Love this beach. It has a lovely promenade behind it, 'Another Place' sculptures by Antony Gormley dotted about and views of the cranes of Liverpool docklands beyond. Always something to watch, whether it's a cargo ship passing in the distance or families enjoying a picnic.

The sculpture is weathered, the sand is beige and flat, and the sea is so far out it's barely visible. 'Another Place' is found on Crosby beach on Merseyside and features 100 cast-iron, life-size figures (modelled on the artist's own body), spread out across the beach and into the sea. Quite a thing to behold!
