Watching #LittleForest (2018) and #KimJiYoungBorn1982 (2019) back-to-back was an interesting double take on women’s work. The former makes growing and preparing food by hand seem idyllic, while the second makes the same domestic labor seem like an unending burden.

I needed a break from the sadness of Way Back Love and the violence of gangster flicks, so I watched #LittleForest from 2018. I see why people love this film. It is meditative. I could smell the wood smoke in winter and taste the tomatoes in summer. A bit too slow for me but enjoyable.

In case the joke doesn't really land, the entire film was actually about 115 minutes; ~75 minutes was just Kim Tae-ri cooking and eating, which I'm actually ok with, since I really missed her. ❤️

I walked into this #kdrama fully expecting a full mundane, ordinary story, and that's exactly what I got. What I didn't expect, is how much I needed #LittleForest tonight.

#LittleForest has been in my watchlist since last year and finally put it on tonight since I missed Kim Tae-ri's 'girl next door' charm. This #kdrama showed me that her charm hasn't failed me; since it was 75 minutes of Tae-ri cooking, eating and, narrating her life returning to her village.

She was also in a supernatural kdrama thriller called #Revenant - but she’s also well known for her film roles, eg #TheHandmaiden & #LittleForest
i am having the BEST TIME with #UndercoverHighSchool. jin kijoo is a terrific actress (everyone should watch her stunning performance in #Midnight and also her with kim taeri in #LittleForest) and seo kangjoon is so obviously grown and NOT a teenager that the coupledom isn’t even too cringe!
