This starts in less than three hours! Let's have a #LivableLyndale for everyone, not just those in automobiles. A shared use path on such a heavy commercialized area does not make sense and will cause additional chaos and headaches if that plan goes through.
We need a #LivableLyndale for everyone, not just those in automobiles. Come join us this Saturday by 2 PM at Painter Park as we demonstrate how the shared use path won't help as much as the county believes.
I won’t be able to make it, but you all should! We need separate bike and ped infrastructure on Lyndale. 🚲🚶♀️ #LivableLyndale

We need folks to join us on Saturday, 2 PM - 4 PM US Central, to demonstrate how a shared use path will NOT help Lyndale out post reconstruction. A truly #LivableLyndale will be friendly to all forms of transit, even those without an automobile.
We deserve a #LivableLyndale and we have to raise enough noise to have that be a reality. Please sign. www.movemn.org/action/lynda...
Please make Lyndale Avenue safe for everyone, especially those outside of an automobile. #LivableLyndale www.movemn.org/action/livab...
A row of bicycles tightly packed together on a small grassy patch next to a tan brick building. The bikes are locked to two long black racks, with a mix of styles including commuter bikes, mountain bikes, and a small pink and teal kids’ bike. Some have baskets or panniers, and the racks are completely full, showing high bike use at this spot.
Bike racks were full for the Lyndale Plan open house. #LivableLyndale
I am wearing Orange in support of my colleagues who want a #LivableLyndale. (Check the bottom of the picture.) I cannot be there in person but they have my support from afar.
At Painter Park for a meeting regarding the #LivableLyndale project. The sign of free popcorn is not accurate: no popcorn available. Let us hope the meeting contents are worth the appetite.
Friendly reminder to folks in Minneapolis. If you are not happy with how Hennepin County is aiming to transform Lyndale Avenue into something that is not quite a #LivableLyndale to many, then #BeHeard! Go to their website & comment on the interactive map already! beheardhennepin.org/lyndale-aven...
The question that I have...does Old School support a #LivableLyndale with bus and bike lanes?
I doubt I will ever have a use for this place. I know others have issues with it. If I need a florist, I feel I can find better. Anyway, can we have a #LivableLyndale with some bus and bike lanes?
A raised concrete platform with several U-shaped bike racks is positioned next to a parking garage entrance. The platform is about a foot above the sidewalk level and not accessible without lifting a bike. A narrow sidewalk runs alongside a brick wall on the left.
Biked with my kid to a store on Lyndale. Drivers were honking and yelling so we rode on the sidewalk like outlaws.
The only bike parking? On top of a curb. Totally accessible. We locked to a railing instead.
But hey, no need for changes, right? Lyndale’s perfectly fine.

While I enjoy transporting my kids in the Urban Arrow, it's very exciting to use it to move actual cargo.

A juice from Wedge co-op called “Root Power”. The red coloring is likely from the beets.
My e-bike battery charging up after a fulfilling week.
Alright, the Skyways have their use, but I am unsure how often I will be back. At least I know the right entrance to use in the future. Stopped at Wedge co-op for a fruit juice: boost of energy for me home safe. Now to recharge my batteries, both self and bike. Still need a #LivableLyndale. #Bikesky
Taking Bus 4 to Green Line to my final destination right now even with this weather. This ride proves why we need a #LivableLyndale: full length bus and bike lanes would allow more people to get to their destination and not just cars.
My bike safely parked by the library.
The bigger volunteer group for Livable Lyndale I am now in called Move Minnesota.
Me mostly dressed before I biked out here. Just missing the windbreaker, bike vest, helmet, and mask. The hoodie is tucked in to minimize feeling cold during the ride.
Day 15 of #30DaysOfBiking. Still helping with the #LivableLyndale project, but now there may be more ways to help. Pedaled to the library. Unsure why Apple Maps wanted me to cycle on the sky way to get here though. Tossing in a bonus picture of me before windbreaker is put on just because. #Bikesky
My bike parked diagonally across from the restaurant. The closer bike racks had other rental bikes occupying the spaces.
A portion of a custom painting. The restaurant name, Leaning Tower of Pizza, is clearly written. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is close to the writing.
My dinner: country fried chicken alfredo. The garlic bread came with it.
Day 14 of #30DaysOfBiking. Plans to meet a recent friend/fellow delegate got delayed an hour so I am getting food first at this @leaningtower.bsky.social place. Tried their country fried chicken alfredo dish: helps with this weather. A #LivableLyndale would let more folks try this eatery. #Bikesky
@julie-c-johnson.bsky.social Any chances we can share this with those who are against #LivableLyndale or would this be a waste of time?

We had a great #LivableLyndale rally this afternoon! Over 100 people turned out to show support for a dedicated bikeway and full day bus lanes!

I’d like to thank my new friends at the Livable Lyndale bike rally today for fixing my bike chain 🥲 #mpls #LivableLyndale #bikemn
A woman holding a sign that says "Lyndale is for people, bikes, buses. Livable Lyndale" The sign is on a big, white poster board. It also had simple pictures of a pedestrian, a person in a wheelchair, a biker and a bus. A child next to the woman has a sign that says, "Better Transit = Better Communities" There is a street directly behind them, with a crosswalk and a FedEx truck, and a small crowd of people in the median, also holding signs.
Minneapolis needs safe streets everywhere!! A patchwork system of safe streets is unfair to walkers, bikers, transit riders, and especially our kids. Quieter, slower, less car-filled streets are better for the humans and the planet.
#WaronCars #LivableLyndale
I think the #LivableLyndale rally was a success. Many postcards filled out, many cars honked in support of bike and bus lanes, & I also got to gain new friends. Hard to complain about today. #Bikesky
A crowd of people gathered on a center island at the Livable Lyndale rally, with many wearing bike helmets and casual clothing. A man with a large beard, sunglasses, and a loon-themed hat is smiling in the foreground. Behind him, people are chatting near a pedestrian crossing sign. A Snapology storefront and other businesses are visible in the background. The mood is energetic and social.
Out here at the #LivableLyndale rally having a great time showing the support for building bike and bus infrastructure on Lyndale!

Walking to the #LivableLyndale rally now. I still have postcards for folks to sign.
Day 12 of #30DaysOfBiking. Did the second Perennial Pastry Run. Because I was getting signatures for #LivableLyndale I missed the cinnamon rolls but I think I lucked out with the peanut butter and jelly protein bar. Hope to see folks at the Rally at 2 PM Central. #Bikesky
