By the way, if anyone is interested, then opening the midi files I produced in MuseScore3 for my #LoFiPlanets with python's mido module gives me the following note counts:

Mars = 12315
Venus = 2965
Mercury = 6210
Jupiter = 15238
Saturn = 5991
Uranus = 7850
Neptune = 4860
Total Note Count = […]
