Arnisdale. The image shows a narrow road leading from the bottom right corner and curving round a bay with blue water and a stone shore. There is a scatter of buildings behind the road on the far side of the bay. Behind then are trees and then the ground climbs steeply to the rocky crest of a large mountain. The sky is blue save for two small puffs of white cloud.
Beautiful Arnisdale, which stands on the north shore of Loch Hourn and looks south-west over the loch to the mountains of the Knoydart peninsula. Rising behind it is Beinn Sgritheall. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot...

#Dornie, late-1930s. The lorries were owned by William G. Finlay of Ardelve and were used during the construction of Dornie Bridge. The main contractor was William Tawse of Aberdeen, with local workers and vehicles subcontracted.
