20 years ago on my commute my tube stopped at Barbican & we were told to get out. We had no idea of the terror that had just occurred 2 stops down the track. I think about that day whenever I pass this memorial at St Pancras and especially today. Never forgotten. #londonbombings

I was on my way to a final day of rehearsals before the opening night of Children of Hercules, a still pertinent Greek drama about the welcome (or lack of) provided to those who seek asylum.

It was the day after we won the 2012 Olympics. A nation went from elation to deflation in 24 hours.
