Oh, how wonderful. Just had supervision with a master's student; a bit despondent about 10,000 word lit review project. After showing the wonders of how different #AI programmes may assist, they said they would go home from work elated, not exhausted as usual!

I announced my retirement today. After thirty-nine years, at Oxford, Birkbeck, Keele, the Open University, Hertfordshire and Portsmouth, I’ll be pursuing my extra-curricular interests with gusto from the end of July. Emotional in many different ways. Lots to do before I leave!

But YOU can never, EVER drop a class session yourself because you’d let x number of people down, and no one can cover for you.
