Finished my #LoveIsAPoison rewatch. It is one of the few BLs where a 2nd season wouldn't go amiss. Haruto's evil papa swore vengeance on Ryoma and Haruto promised to become an attorney. If this was an American show--before streaming--it would run for 7 seasons on basic cable.

The scene where the music builds like Ryoma is about to handle business before we quickly learn the man has no hands still makes me chuckle. Haruto easily dispatching the real estate scammers makes so much sense when you remember their conmen, not fighters. #LoveIsAPoison

You know it's a good BL when the leads breakup before even getting together. TBF IRL you absolutely should not enter into a relationship with a known con artist who stole your car, broke into your condo and filmed you naked without your consent. #LoveIsAPoison

Since 2nd seasons are all the rage in JBL, who do I have to slip ¥50 to to get a second season of #LoveIsAPoison? I bet you cannot guess what I'm rewatching right now.

The few JBL options on Netflix are on point. #10DANCE, #ICannotReachYou and #LoveIsAPoison all banged. It’s so easy to get it right with JBLs. Intern Jeff needs to get in the trenches and learn discernment when wrestling with Thai BLs. The trash-to-gold ratio definitely leans towards trash.

Is this the best Japanese BL I've watched? Not really, but it's so far from being the worst. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to someone looking for a quick show to binge.
