A framed needle-felted picture depicting the Luisenplatz in Darmstadt, Germany. Central to the picture is the Ludwig's Monument, known locally as Langer Lui, which is a column topped by a statue of the Grand Duke Ludwig I. In the background, behind the Monument the Palace (Schloss) can be seen, and over the tops of the buildings- the Hochzeitsturm on the left and the Weißer Turm on the right.
A picture showing the act of needle-felting the Monument from the previous picture. This is done by rapidly stabbing a picture of wool with a sharp, thin, barbed needle.
With my picture of the Luisenplatz and Ludwig's Denkmal (Lange Lui) safely with it's new owner, I can now post pictures of the finished product!
I have a few ideas for more pictures, but if anyone wants to order a picture from me - just send me a message!
