a low lupine plant with fuzzy leaflets and a ring of indigo inflorescences

I'll be growing seven species and subspecies of lupine in this coming spring, and I wish Lupinus lepidus (prairie lupine) was one of them. Lupines launch their seeds, so you have to get there *right* before they're ready.
