A collection of various alien looking creatures wearing masks. some are noodle shaped, some are sphinx shaped, some are taur shaped and some are bug shaped. on the bottom right, a tall one plays music for a couple small ones.
Van is watching a bug crawl on a rock, while Sue plays with their hair. She pulls it up into one big spike with a curious expression, then pulls it outward into two outward spikes extending from their ears to the left and right. She remarks "girl do you like not feel this at all", and Van immediately turns their head to look at Sue and say "did'ja say something there, Sue?" The two prongs of hair coming from their head simultaneously smack Sue in the face and sweep the bug off of its rock. A calamity, indeed.
Van channels the power of a crystal. Their hair starts standing up on its own, they're surrounded by a powerful aura of light, and their eyes are glowing. Zac yells out "VAN, HOLD ON A SEC THERE!!!" With a flash, Van's entire body lights up like an X-ray, and they are sent careening backwards through the air screaming. As Zac investigates where they land, he asks "u good bro?", met with "somewhat..." Zac tries to lecture Van, while Van just wants him to shut up so they can keep practicing. "If your hair is standing up, that's a sign that" "OK." "that the" "NOTED" "The energy is building up in your body instead of" "OK CHILL I GOT IT"

feel the hairs on your arm standing on edge? the glow in your eyes? does your hair feel weightless?
that's when you know something is terribly wrong.
pay attention to the signs that your body is becoming a prime conductor for energetic flow.
A collection of 54 tarot cards. More detailed alt text in the following posts.
The intricate backing to the tarot card, containing various murals of the Celes in an etched artstyle.

This thread will contain an explanation of the different cards in my tarot set.
A Celes stands, greeting the Trio and welcoming them into the afterlife, with the most respectful salutation it could muster: "nah yeah y'all dead as hell" they kinda stand emotionless, in disbelief, as one does. The Celes charitably explains how the afterlife works. "So basically spiritual connections with your neighbors are really important, because they're how you navigate. If you piss people off, they'll cut your HEART out of the-" Van interrupts them, mimicking their hand gesture, snickering and pointing out "guys they're doing the 67", to Zac and Sue's horror. A single "snip" and everything goes dark. Van continues to nervously do the hand gesture in the dark, while Zac and Sue respond to the situation with such immense disappointment that their faces revert to the equivalent of a t-pose.
Austin, a bully from agriculture class, confronts Van as they travel with Zac. "Well well well, if it isn't the bug kisser? What are you doing back in this part of town?" The next panel depicts Van sending a star from the heavens directly into his skull, shattering the frame so violently that the sky turns black. The final panel reveals it was all in their imagination, and Zac comforts Van, saying "don't fall for it. He's just trying to get a reaction."
Sue grasps the Spirit of Snow by the neck, forcing it to hear her desperate plea. "you gave ZAC a new bracelet, you gave VAN a fucking bicycle, but you gave ME a fucking PENCIL? What the hell, man? I'm not even mad, I'm just confused!!" The Spirit of Snow lets out a whimpering "grau", clearly nervous. Van, in the style of Robert Downey Jr stating the obvious, says "she doesn't understand the spirit of the season and will forever be racked with dissatisfaction evermore." They say this while riding their new bicycle. Zac yells from the distance "what the fuck are you on about, van"
Zac, as a blue, vaguely pangolin-shaped being, wearing a red tasseled mask. He has a tail that ends in a rapier-style sword. He whips it around dramatically, and does a falling stab onto a strange balloon shaped phantom, popping it. Van, saying "creature..." reaches out to pet his nose, but gets hit with a snort as Zac blows him away. While Van imagines what it'd be like to have a piggy back ride, Zac knocks over a tree, scaring Sue. Sue says "so like. when do I get to be like a tiger or something", and Van says "Nah, that's silly. I think you should be a caterpillar!" Sue grumbles to herself "girl you're already the butterfly." Sue holds up her fists and challenges Zac, yelling "this changes nothing. I can still take him." Zac contemplates ending her career.
you heard of van butterfly now get ready for zac pangolin

Various depictions of Van in widely different artstyles. They're emoting in different ways, putting a finger to their chin and thinking deeply, holding out their fingers and sticking out their tongue, squealing in joy over a chance to talk about a cool bug they found, sitting with a disappointed face, and existing in the form of a butterfly.
goofy doodles of van from. 'holy shit it's already been 6 years since 2019 what the hell. It's an artwork of me comparing a drawing of van with dot eyes vs with slightly more normal eyes.
remake of the funny comparison between "dot eyes" and "realistic eyes" in my more modern artstyle

A pencil drawing of a fictional social media post by Rix M'che'galestet, who has the handle @ilikecadmium8247 "the recent trend of "BONESMASHING" involves hitting yourself in the face with a hammer to cause fractures that heal and give you a better jawline. this is dumb, unsafe, and there is NO evidence that this even works. please do not hit yourself in the face with a hammer." Underneath are two attachments, a picture of Amb mogging with a hammer and the caption "DAY 1 BONESMASHING", and a followup image of Amb bruised with several bandages and the caption "(1/?) im ending it all..."
i can't believe i never posted this

van finds a bottomless pit and without hesitation leaps directly into it, yelling "YOOOOOOO" the whole way down. thousands of years later, their fossilized remains are unearthed, confusing tentacled aliens with pointy eyestalks, who report on it like a classic news channel would.
van, zac and sue all look up at the sky. Van and Zac look rather normal, while Sue has cartoonishly bulging eyes. I wonder what they're looking at that would elicit such a reaction?
A colorful collage of various characters and locations from Luscept. The Trio, (Van, Sue and Zac), Aiso, Qu, a Celes, and the Harmony Phantom. At the bottom is signed "Luscept" in il'suastet, PROPERLY spelled this time... Various scenes are depicted, from top to bottom left to right: The King and Queen cast the barrier to protect The Cliff Where The Earth Was Called To Meet The Sky, using all of their energy. (it does not last but for mere minutes.) The Harmony Phantom stands, menacing over the sky. Aiso stands split between a wasteland of crystal and the haunting sound of the bell, which follows him no matter where he walks. Zac sits focused, casting barriers of his own, like his parents. It's the only thing he knows how to cast. Van watches butterflies flitter across the sky, and smiles with a childlike grin. Sue also has a sheepish grin, and is buried in waves of her own hair, as it flows over fields of flowers and thorns. A Celes stands over a spire, with an indiscernable stare. Qu twirls a ribbon between her fingers, as she walks through the College she built, wondering what happens next-- Half of her face is cut off, only allowing you to view her subtle smirk. A pale white sunset, and a dark, gleaming sunset sit next to each other, the world of dreams and the nights of reality bleed into one another.

a world woven of time and space, of matter, crystal and spirit
Van saunters past Jack's window, and overhears her complaining to Babre: "babre dude I swear if I hear another fucking skitter im going to crash out. i cant find this cretin anywhere and its giving me the creeps major style." Van, still unaccepting of Jack's debilitating fear of bugs, gathers a little flying insect and muses "having a fear of bugs, that's just plain silly, isn't that right, buddy? I'm sure if she got to know you, you two would become the best of friends!" the next panel, they abruptly enter Jack's home with the bug, saying "Jack i brought you a friend-" but they are cut off as Jack (with a thousand yard stare) grabs them by the neck, cutting off their airflow and possibly killing them.

Van, Sue, Zac, Aiso, Qu, a Celes, the Harmony Phantom, and the Kingdom Where The Earth Was Called To Meet The Sky, in an abstract collage separated by twirling lines. At the bottom, the word "Luscept" is written in a simple, loose font, in il'suastet (a conlang).
the butterfly prince, a being with four arms laced with crosses, a fancy blue coat, a sharp red crown of pink flames, stands bathed in a lime light so bright they disappear partially into it.
Van holding an Elise. A bird with a round beak and feathers which droop over its ears as though it were a dog.
Van holding a weird lizard dog thing that I always forget to name, and when I come up with a name, i forget what I named it. lizard dog it is
Child Van holding a wiggly buggy beast. It's eyes are like wasps, its crest is like a beetle, its rear is like an earwig.
Van protecting a little opossum from an overhead bird. They guard it with their bat.
if there is a creature, van will hold it. no matter what

Eige (her name means "First Flower") She has brown-red hair, a sunhat tied to her chin with a blue ribbon, and a green poncho over a blue and pink shirt.
The Trio give Aiso a group hug and let him know it will be alright. The text at the top left says "Nausche, Aiso", which basically is like their equivalent of "it's alright", "don't stress it", but with really empathetic connotations-- more like "it is forgiven" or "you're understood" its funny because it uses an older version of the language so it kinda looks funky lol
sue lost a part of her hand long ago and with her being an archer, what is left of her hand is Rather Important to her.

An abstract artwork of very few thin wispy brush strokes. A sequence of three images, getting smaller and smaller. Aiso, distraught, is hugged by Van. Aiso falls to his knees. The view shrinks to such a distance that Aiso resembles a hideous bug. Despite Aiso's draw towards unforgiveness, Van could never hate a bug.
Van beats Sue because a strong heart overcomes everything. Sue beats Zac because street smarts beat book smarts. Zac beats Van because the master schools the green bean. Van can secretly beat Zac through beginners luck. Zac can secretly beat Sue by taking advantage of her temper. Sue can secretly beat Van by saying "hey look, the ceiling says gullible."

the trio in the yamcha death pose together. The force of stubbing their toes was so impactful that it created massive craters in the earth.
question: if van sue and zac fought each other who would win
answer: they all three simultaneously stub their toes. nobody exchanges hands.

Van (brightly colored, in the presence of a shit ton of magic), muses "Something is off about you.... aha!"
A towering celes looms over the scene, with flaming red hair and eyes, and a white robe and indigo mask.
They're suddenly made into something a little goofier, as their eye is magically replaced with a googly eye. They seem upset and distressed, clawing away at their new eye and trying to remove it.
Zac yells "van change it back or we're fucking TOAST i can FEEL the hate emanating from that thing", shaking Van by the shoulders, but Van holds their hands up and continues to mess with the Celes, saying "hang on. maybe it will like cat ears?" The Celes in the background suddenly gains cat ears and strange furred appendages, screaming GRAUUUGH with a toothy snarl as it gnashes out at nothing in particular.
Van tries to summon a nightlight since it's kind of dark out without the moon to light the sky.
oops, slipped out of their hands like a bar of soap
BOOM The pitch black scene is now illuminated as though it were daylight. Sue, who was sleeping beside Van in the grass, yells "WHAT THE HELL"
Sue scolds Van, telling them "no fucking around with magic past sundown ever again" Van sits there with a dopey expression
