Fantastic #MauiDay in London today highlighting some of the great work being done using it to create innovative cross-platform apps. I was particularly impressed by the talk about #MotiMe. Great example of the way technology can be used to help with child physiotherapy.

Happy .NET MAUI Day! Second edition in London 🇬🇧
@davidortinau.com updating us on the latest and greatest that’s going on now and coming for .NET 11 #mauiday
Oh no!
@jfversluis.dev gave away our secret! #MAUIDay is visiting multiple cities this year 🎉
You'll have to wait until the 6th Feb to find out what country we're visiting next.
Where are you hoping we'll hosting the only dedicated #dotnetMAUI conference?
XAML isn’t standing still — and neither should we.
At #MAUIDay, Stéphane Delcroix will explore how XAML has evolved in .NET MAUI, what landed in .NET 10, what’s planned for .NET 11, and where the community wants to go next.

Kicking off #MAUIDay in style is @davidortinau.com with .NET MAUI Now and Next.
While .NET 10 is still just, the team is already working on .NET 11. In this session David will share the product highlights and candidly share our vision for the future of mobile and desktop cross-platform development
Finally! Cross-platform development using #DotNetMaui. My "Maxwell's Demon" game now available on both Android and iOS. Only platform-specific code: to enable screen-swiping gesture.

My .NET MAUI game, "Maxwell's Demon", is now finished and is available on Google Play for Android phones. Free. No ads. I made it to gain experience of the #dotnetmaui development pipeline.

The .NET MAUI game is now finished and is in the review process in the Google Play Console. So, 14 day closed testing starts soon and then general release. It's called Maxwell's Demon.

While writing a game using .NET MAUI, I've found that the standard gesture recognizes are very limited. #TapGestureRecognizer only fires an event when the touch is released, and #PointerGestureRecognizer doesn't work at all on Android. Very annoying!

The .NET MAUI game is getting there. Still needs more work on the gameplay.

The .NET MAUI game is getting there. Maybe another couple of weeks' development before submitting to Google Play Store. Still needs some work on the gameplay.

How do you get the red and blue balls into the right places? Another possible level for the evolving .NET MAUI game. Introducing big balls blocking little balls.

A video of the Win Forms utility app. I wrote it for designing the levels in the game - positioning the collections of balls and the various shaped walls that they bounce off. I'll put a devlog on YouTube at some point.

As with many games, designing the Maxwell's Demon mobile game means designing utility apps. I'm writing a Windows .NET Forms utility to create the layout files for the game's levels - placing walls and sets of particles.

What a fantastic event, surrounded by amazing and friendly experts in #dotnetMAUI. It was a fantastic event held at Just Eat's London offices, fully focused on MAUI, its current and future evolution, as well as seeing real-life experiences with it.
Thanks to the organisers!! ✌

#MAUIDay was awesome.
Mainly because of the great talks from @davidortinau.com, @sharpnado.com, @mrlacey.bsky.social, @rogiervanderhee.bsky.social, @nmackay.bsky.social, @mallibone.com, and Guy Barker!

I enjoyed walking around Hyde Park day before #MAUIDay
Image of a park. There's grass in the foreground, a blue sky dappled with fluffy clouds, and bare trees across the middle of the shot.
After a hectic day organising and hosting #MAUIDay, it's time to recharge my extrovert battery.
Thankfully London has a few nice spots to turn off, tune out, and get grounded.
I can't wait to be back beside the seaside tho 🏖️
I saw lots of people taking pictures of slides but didn't think anyone would capture this.
UI code isn't medicine. It's not the red pill or the blue pill, it's a delicious purple mix of code and markup
