Sanford was actually partially inspired by Eurasian Eagle Owls - the idea had always been to give his hair that tuffed look of horned owls. Even as I got a lot better at drawing I always kept the look because it was very "unique".

Sanford's original, square glasses w/ his normal color palette (mosaic patterned / tortoise shell glasses in purple, cyan, neon red and pure yellow.)

Sanford in a "MAKE IT PINK! MAKE IT BLUE!" design, inspired by a conversation with a TWST fan who wanted assistance in making an Aurora inspired OC. I mentioned using the splattered design before they fix the dress, where it was half blue half pink.

Sanford in a "Make it green!" color palette, which lacks any of the crazy patterning from before on both the sweater and the glasses. Comment from LB's discord: "With the colour change, he's gone from the presenter on a children's art show to a librarian who is far too into showing people around the collection."

Final look; all black, with an Atlantic Ocean iris color. This is how Sanford SHOULD look without his powers.

Sanford (the purple one) was supposed to be a starter villain. Ended up not being one in three different ways, lol.
But the romance between him and his wife - bipolar and schizoid respectively - has become something that gives me a bit of life.

Their story's gonna be #MFBM .
