Telangana Congress to launch protests to demand restoration of MGNREGS Hyderabad, Jan 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) Telangana's ruling Congress on Thursday decided to organise a series of protests across the state for 45 days, demanding restoration of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). The state Congress unit, at its meeting at party headquarters, Gandhi Bhavan, decided to fight against Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act (VB G RAM G), which was recently passed by the Parliament to replace the MGNREGS.

Telangana Assembly passes resolution to continue MGNREGS Hyderabad, Jan 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Telangana Legislative Assembly on Friday passed a resolution, demanding continuation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) as it is and terming the recently passed Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act (VB G RAM G) detrimental to the rights of the poor. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy tabled the resolution, which was passed unanimously by a voice vote.
