We’re working with the NHS to improve services for people with Multiple Long Term Conditions, one of the things people are telling us is that they’d like more involvement in their own care plans.

Great poster presentations from Carly Flowers and Kieran Richards and excellent discussions with our #PPIE contributors at the #AIMRSF #MLTC From Research2Reality conference in Birmingham!
Members of the AI MULTIPLY team with PPIE contributors from our Newcastle and London groups
We caught up with our #socialactionforhealth #PPIE collaborators who were here for the day yesterday in Birmingham. It was a great day with interesting talks with an important focus on #LivedExperience in #MLTC #research
Day 2 of the #MLTC From Research to Reality conference kicks off the #carepathways session with the #ADMISSION project from @nihrnewcastlebrc.bsky.social @newcastleuni.bsky.social with transforming understanding of MLTCs in a hospital setting. Looking forward to the day ahead!

Really interesting talk from Emma Karoune from #Turing AIM RSF on lessons learned in #AI in #MLTC #research - human infrastructure and employing individuals with relevant skills from the project outset is key to being data ready & subsequent successful research delivery
We had a really varied panel discussion touching on the issues faced by those with #MLTC and how things could be improved. A role for medication reviews, and the social and education systems were emphasised as was the importance of active patients and support for self care.
The message from the #MLTC #PPIE panel: 1) Better #health education, information & encourage self-advocacy for patients & carers, 2) Link all #data together, across health & #socialcare, #dentistry etc so health & social care professionals can make better informed decisions for individual patients
