New Food - Whipped Feta with Schug & Wild Rice from Dino’s
The schug is spicier than the hot honey on the ballzzzzz and the wild rice is just…weird and unnecessary. But surprisingly filling. #mnstatefair2025
New Food - Hot Honey Ballzzzzz (I forget how many Zs are in the name officially) from Green Mill
Basically pepperoni & cheese curd calzones with hot honey over the top. Longest wait in line of the day, but worth it. Tasty w/just the right amount of spice. #mnstatefair2025
Cherry Apple Pie Cider by Wild State Cider
This might be my new favorite fair beer? A little tart, a little sweet; well-balanced with great mouth-feel. I gulped this down. #mnstatefair2025
New Food - Sweet Squeakers from Blue Barn (cinnamon-dusted funnel cake battered cheese curds with lemon whipped cream and berry drizzle).
Like eating a really good cheesecake. Surprisingly not too sweet or rich (the lemon & berry cuts it nicely). #mnstatefair2025
Turkey-2-Go sandwich, which a sign at the stand assures me is the healthiest thing I’ll eat today, including 113% of my required daily dose of vitamin B3! #mnstatefair2025

Craft Beer flight. In order of preference, 3 (maybe the best peanut butter stout I’ve had) >2 (so refreshing)>1(well-balanced)>4 (fine). #MNStateFair2025
New Food - Fawaffle from Baba’s (falafel in waffle form.
Crispy falafel waffle, well-seasoned and flavorful. Would get again. #MNStateFair2025
New Food - Timber Twists from Giggles. Sausage stuffed in manicotti, wrapped in bacon, w/bbq sauce. Fan-frickin’-tastic. Flavorful, meaty, sweet and smoky and just a touch of spice. Would eat a plate. #MNStateFair2025
New Food - Pimento Cheese Puffs and Granstand Lime Up.
First bites were a little bready but better cheese-to-coating after that. Touch of spice, good dipping jam, solid hit. #MNStateFair2025
