CPO Futures End Week Sharply Lower On Bearish MPOB Data
KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Bernama) — Crude palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended the week sharply lower after the market digested bearish Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) data, said Fastmarkets Palm Oil Analytics senior analyst Sathia Varqa. He said the data pointed to a stronger-than-expected rise in March output and signalled the onset of seasonally higher yields going into the second quarter. “At the same time, early indications suggest April exports are off to a weak start,” he told Bernama.
