The progressive churches I attended stayed involved in politics. We obeyed the Johnson Rule, but there is a lot of other political activity churches can do legally, and we did it.

Yes, there are lots of scattered unattached groups using it. My hope is to make it a recognizable political label, as well-known and understood as "pro life" or "gun rights" or "MAGA" for conservatives.
