This rainfall will lead to life-threatening flooding and mudslides, especially in areas of steep terrain. Rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches, with maximum totals of 8 inches, are expected across the Mexican states of Chiapas, Michoacan, Colima and Jalisco."

The disturbance in the East Pacific has been designated Tropical Depression 5-E. The storm is expected to strengthen, w/ possible RI. Forecast track is nearly parallel to the coast, so landfall is uncertain. Dangerous flooding is expected regardless.

Lots of eyes in the Caribbean Sea for the investigation there, but put some attention to Tropical Storm John in the Eastern Pacific.

John is nearly stationary and while there are questions as to intensity at landfall, coastal Oaxaca precipitation is expected in the 20-30 inch range!
