Suggestions please for a 2TB SSD hard drive replacement for a 2012 Mac Mini. It can only run Catania but its probably a fun project to refurb this unit.

I'm upgrading an old Mac mini to a new ssd 2tb and want to know the most stable nice up to date Mac OS it could handle. My old Mbpro 2014 lives well on High Sierra atm so I have no clue about good Mac OS 2020+.
