and found it refreshing that
the main character to admits,
"I never ask why you were doing this.
I guess... I guess I was selfish enough
to think you were just doing it to help me";
especially a white character admitting that
to a Black woman à la #MagicalNegro character .

I've never seen the show before but have to wonder whether Thelwell's playing the #BlackFriend character or the #MagicalNegro.
