Today I have stayed at home and rested a lot. This was really needed. I was even falling asleep this morning mid video my son had put on to introduce me to all the chess Candidates (which was interesting - it was the falling asleep mid-morning that was notable). #MajorMarch #Day29
I had time today with lots of people (-conferencing), time by my self (travelling home), time with my family. All three have been good #MajorMarch #Day28
Tonight (post main conference) I have had a very civilised dinner in a fancy room talking with wonderful interesting people, and making plans. I also accidentally knocked over and broke a wine glass - oops! #TrollopeConf #MajorMarch #Day27
Today I haven’t gotten ready for going away tomorrow (lots else I was doing). But I don’t feel stressed about this as it’s just me that I need to get ready to go, as I’ll be leaving my family at home when I go off to the the #TrollopeConf! #MajorMarch #Day26
Today I took myself off for a coffee & chocolate muffin in the middle of a busy day, to do my March monthly reflection, asking myself questions about what I’ve been up to & what I have coming up and so on. Today we went to a concert at school and heard students singing and playing wonderful music - lots of GCSE pieces. It was great to hear and watch my son sing You’ll Be Back (Hamilton). And I even have a video of it, since he was singing on his own! #MajorMarch #Day24
Today our new washing machine was delivered. This time I need to look after it. Regular cleaning cycles, clearing out of filter and drawer, ensuring it doesn’t fall over and get a chunk out the edge of it….

Today felt like almost non-stop cooking, cleaning and related housework. Not a bad thing, but I’ve barely sat down all day. Nice to now for a little while. #MajorMarch #Day22

Today I was teaching at 9am, so needed to be up and out early. Thankfully I’ve been recovering nicely from whatever I had yesterday and have coped fairly well. #MajorMarch #Day18
Today I finally listened to my body telling me that I was overdoing it, and lay on the settee all day. Though only listened a little as I was working the whole time… but I cancelled my teaching for today, and am hopeful of being in a reasonablish state for teaching tomorrow. #MajorMarch #Day17
When on my way home from a lovely evening of conversation, someone on the tube stopped and complimented my skirt. Nice to have little interactions like this #MajorMarch #Day16
Today was a nice family occasion. Nice to sit back, chatting, while my children played with cousins and cousins of cousins. And to watch as they all get older. #MajorMarch #Day15

I had an experience today that made me feel like I’d quite like to be a mentor in various capacities, at some point in the future (probably ought to make progress on all the things I’ve been meant to do myself first - the things you often mentor other people in…) #MajorMarch #Day13
Today I only sent four emails, three of them about the same topic. This is a sign of a particular type of busy day - one in which I was occupied most of the time (both attending training - which gave me lots of ideas, and running training - the same). #MajorMarch #Day12
I went to bed last night sure I’d done my #MajorMarch #Day11 post. But think I’d drifted off… Yesterday I ignored other things in order to focus on getting something done (editing the 1st of my Panopto recordings). While I’m aware of all the other things that need to be done, they are always there!
Today I l, along with many conversations with students (very interesting), when for a coffee with a friend in the afternoon. It is so nice to sit and chat - both work and non-work #MajorMarch #Day10
This evening I’m thinking about how I’ve liked sitting at my desk, with two monitors, being able to see multiple things at the same time. It is very useful. I suppose I haven’t had many days recently where I’ve been on campus and actually sitting at my desk for long periods. #MajorMarch #Day9

Today I got a new laptop at work, replacing my old and broken one. It is such a relief having a computer that charges easily (and more). But I’m still in the transition stage of not having all the software, and so on, that I need. It will take a few days I should think #MajorMarch #Day5
Today a colleague kindly brought post into our office (which had been sitting somewhere waiting for ages for one of us to collect). And it wasn’t only catalogues - there was actually a handwritten envelope for me, with a thank you card in it! #MajorMarch #Day4
Today my daughter can see clearly, having been living in a lovely blur for quite a while. Initially she thought everything was too detailed, but now she keeps commenting on all the things she can see #MajorMarch #Day3 Glasses are wonderful!

Today is a day that feels like it’s been a week. So much tidying in the morning, then (umm) working, preparing for my upcoming big week (am not exactly prepared, but am so much more prepared than I was on Friday), while being around and inputting as we had lots of teenagers over. #MajorMarch #Day1
