Winter is winding down but I’m still feeling incredibly happy with my first attempt at making bespoke beaver mittens. My hands have never been happier. The interior is fur lined wherever the black moose leather is visible on the exterior.

A mid weight brown leather split leg apron with a large moose pocket, natural veg tan chest tool pocket and hammer loop

First time trying to pattern the leather. I used a few stamps from a mid 1970s starter kit.

Finished up an apron to protect myself while I teach myself black smithing this spring. I began teaching myself to work leather this past fall and have fallen in love with the process and reward of self teaching. New mediums for creativity!

A wallet pattern I’ve been working on recently. Vertical stitching only. Wallets have many small pieces making them perfect for using up scraps from past projects. This one will be gifted to a friends kid. Veg tan, hand tools, hand stitching.
