Also (and I promise I won't tell a soul) Miss St. Martin has a supply of Liquid Grecian Rouge to eliminate that late winter pallor that afflicts so many of us in the northern climes. #makeuphistory

Did you know? Ancient Egyptians were among the first to use makeup, with black kohl to define their eyes and protect them from the sun 🌞. Today, makeup continues to be a form of self-expression across cultures. #MakeupHistory #BeautyThroughTheAges #SelfExpression

Yesterday morning marked the last session of the #makeuphistory class at the V and A. The whole course was great but I think my favorite was “Makeup in the Islamic World”. We just don’t hear enough about this in the West.

First class on #MakeupHistory at the @V_and_A Academy yesterday was great! (Despite it being at 5:30am here. 😆) And I was so honored to see the Makeup Museum as a resource in the materials, right at the top of the list. 🥹😭

I remember in late 2016 Urban Decay released their “vintage” lipstick colors in cases that resembled their original ones, which in turn looked like bullets. Little did I know there’s lot more overlap where that came from between guns and makeup. 😐#StayTuned #MakeupHistory

Working on an update of my post about cultural appropriation in makeup and uh, I really wish I hadn’t waited 9 years after it was first published. 🤦🏻‍♀️There is much to catch up on. #MakeupHistory #MakeupMuseum

Went down quite a few rabbit holes looking for information on this unusual lipstick. Didn’t turn up much, but it’s interesting nevertheless. #MakeupMuseum #VintageMakeup #MakeupHistory
