Excited that the first study on the #languages of the Luren in Southwest China has been published in "Cahiers de Linguistique Asie Orientale".
We show that the Luren (now classified as #Manchu) formerly spoke two different languages, one #Sinitic and the other an isolate.

一些对满洲语现代化的想法： #Manchu #满洲
从希伯来语的经验来看，语言复兴与其说是让古老的语言直接复活，还不如说是废掉旧语言、并在其基础上重新创造出一门新语言出来。因为古代人和现代人、专门领域和日常生活，其语言环境是截然不同的，一种用于宗教仪式的语言根本就没法用在现代的日常交流中。
满文其实同理，清宫档案里的满文不加工改造一下的话，也是没法直接拿来用于现代交流的。拿去练AI效果也会很差。清宫满文首先是古代的官方书面语，对照语言又是古汉语文言文，导致的问题是：有些词汇根本没有机会在今天应用，有些翻译非常繁琐冗长，甚至是带有汉语思维逐字翻译的痕迹。
