Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a witch – though she doesn’t know it yet.
When she finds a stray black dog in the alley behind her parents’ bakery, she earns his trust with leftover treats and sweet scritches. Unable to leave him on the streets, she sneaks him into her room and gives him a name: Chien Noir.
What Marinette doesn’t realize is that he isn’t just a dog – and they imprint on each other in order to communicate. The bond awakens her latent magic, which surges and reacts whenever they’re close, blurring the line between emotion, intimacy, and power. Especially intimacy.
Like, seriously, Marinette isn’t the type of person to do these…things with a dog, right?
