A self-portrait taken inside Yayoi Kusama's "Gleaming Lights of the Souls" at Denmark's Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. The lights within the mirrored infinity room shift colours and at this phase of their cycle were primarily blue and purple with some red. Echos of the photographer's body appear throughout the sea of lights. The most immediate reflection in the centre of the frame has the brightest light directly over the heart of the woman. She floats as if lost in space. Accompanying text is an excerpt from Matthew Good's song "Flight Recorder from Viking 7". Complete Lyrics: Space is colder than the air in the mountains where I come from The air in the mountains where I come from For years I drifted Further and further into the unknown Further and further into the unknown And I wonder where have you gone And I wonder what have you done? What have you done? Space is older than the air moving in and out of your lungs The air moving in and out of your lungs For years I've drifted the math of a divinity that goes on and on the math of a divinity that goes on and on And I wonder where have you gone? And I wonder what have you done? What have you done?
Space is older
than the air moving in & out
of your lungs
For years I've drifted
the math of a divinity
that goes on & on
And I wonder
where have you gone?
And I wonder
what have you done?
