Also, fun fact: There are three Bee papers: one each in Sacramento, Modesto, Fresno. At its height (‘60s-‘80s) the #McClatchy News Corp also ran a wire service and owned dozens of small papers across the West. It fell apart though in the late 2000s, after (somewhat Insanely!) buying #KnightRidder😑

Yes, the #McClatchy family has quite a back story. I don’t think this Lore included here but I learned from OGs at The FresBee that reason why the papers are named “Bee” is bc the McClatchy patriarch observed while farming that bees were essential for healthy output. www.mcclatchy.com/about/history
