Finished Medievil 2 last night just before PSN went down - and I have to say, I don't usually have bad experiences with games, but it's one of the few times I've been disappointed with a game I've played 😔

Daniel Fortesque, dressed in a tuxedo and beard, rushes too late to save Kiya from being killed by Jack the Ripper in a rainy back alleyway
Dan announces sadly that Kiya is dead with a very weird expression.... wait, Kiya is a mummy, isn't she dead already?
Professor Kift holds his head in his hands sadly saying 'I'll never be able to forgive myself'
...and then quickly afterwards seems to brush the tragedy off EXTREMELY quickly and goes 'Anyway, I'm picking up some bizarre signals' ..... erm, he got over that quickly
The Whitechapel level of Medievil 2 is where the story takes a complete nosedive for me due to the HUGE tonal whiplash and pacing issues with Kiya and Jack the Ripper😩
Even the GAME seems to treat the sudden whiplash as almost comedic 🤯 I did NOT edit this sequence of events at all😅

I want to enjoy this game, and there are some genuinely fun levels and parts (like Kew Gardens, the Freak Show, Wulfrum Hall and the Tyrannosaurus Wrecks boss fight) but it feels a bit more frustrating than the first game for me 😵💫

Played Medievil 2 tonight to take break from art ❤️💀 Very surprised the second didn't get remastered like the first 🤔 The game is fun 😄, but its noticeably harder than the first to me and I am NOT a fan of the fall damage added in - especially with the thin platforms and camera 😵💫

Played and finished MediEvil 2 using only cloud streaming on the PS Portal, next up will be the PS2 Indiana Jones game. I'm looking forward to when the cloud streaming is out of beta and I have access to my full library.
