Every single character has to be so completely and honestly drawn that the audience understands, without being told, that the separation is not a failure of love but a completion of it. The second couple in #MeloMovie was also a perfect example of this. That #kdrama knows this rule.

Day 11: A drama that taught you something new #EYDC2025
I will go with #MeloMovie, found the ways it explored how we interpret the love we receive and let it affect so much of our lives to be very enlightening. Made me rethink and view some things that had always bothered me in a new light.
I praised them hard for their role in pulling the #kdrama from the abyss for me.
#MeloMovie could've easily ended up just another disaster story that I tossed and forget due to the very unlikeable ML, but these three characters saved it.
D8: Standout secondary character of 2025
No one well-deservingly earned this crown more than Jang Seung-jo's Lee Jun from #Chocolate.
If we're staying strictly for 2025 #kdrama: Ho Si-jun, Son Ju-a, and Ko Jun, because I'd probably drop #MeloMovie earlier if not for these three.

D6: A drama you dropped
#MeloMovie managed to be the first drama from either Boyoung or Wooshik that I've ever dropped 😭 Partly because the second lead couple was unbearably toxic, mostly because the whole "not talking to someone for x years without explaining it" pissed me off.

A TV series that shows love stories between couples, parent-child, siblings, and friends, all working things out. The movie-making aspect wasn’t as fleshed out as I wanted but that’s not the point after all. I liked the bittersweet and open ending. 7.5/10 #TVSky #KDrama

Exactly. The break up scene in the final episode of #MeloMovie would have been less devastating had they included some sappy melancholic tune with it. Still sad, just less impactful.
The use of silence in #kdrama just significantly enhanced a narrative when done well.
#MyMister, #MeloMovie and now #Doubt are masters of negative spaces; which each of their silence denotes something completely different (Healing, Grief, & Tension ).
I should explore this for my next essay.
#Death'sGame or #MeloMovie episode 7. Just episode 7, because Kim Jae-wook single-handedly elevated a broken #kdrama script that failed to do anything for six episodes in a mere 15 minutes.
