—I last posted about these #corduroy pants for #mendmarch2025. I’m reinforcing the entire #threadbare backside with internal #patches and lots of #runningstitch. Progress is slow but I hope to wear these again in the late fall and winter!

It’s only 80% cotton but the sleeve on this hoodie must have been the victim to puppy teeth as well, I’m not sure how else there would be so many small holes. I am mending them with a red patch in the back and running stitches of black embroidery thread. #cotton #mendmarch2025 #mendmarch
Unfortunately, my mom is no longer capable of helping. I went over to look through her stash and couldn’t find any of the original material. I did find some other flannel I’ll try to use with embroidery thread. Let me know if you have any tips. 2/2 #mendmarch2025 #mendmarch

This sock mend is looking a little wild. I fixed the holes (see previous post) but there are still thin spots. I’m sad I ran out of the pink wool I was using, It must have been very old, probably my grandmas, but it was nice to work with. “Foot” #mendmarch2025 #mendmarch #darning

Today’s #MendMarch2025 prompt is “Drop It”. I have have mending these jeans (2cd hand to begin with) for about 4 years. We’re past the point where I could drop this, I’m now in it for the long haul 😅. Another under patch applied, and another 100-odd stitches added. #MendMarchDropIt #PatchedJeans

“Swap it” So yesterday our community had a clothing swap. I got a jacket that needed the seams on its pockets and lining repaired. I did a pretty quick job by hand with some embroidery thread. I probably could have done it more invisibly but this will keep the coins in my pockets. #mendmarch2025

So I pulled out the socks that have been in time out and my bag of old hexipuff mini-skeins and went to it.

So here is the (now) fully functional mended jacket! Now with two rebuilt cuffs and without visible stuffing. I am still working on the cosmetic stitching, but it's back to being wearable again in the meantime.

darn it! I fixed up my purple socks with some pink wool and a scotch darn now I hope I have enough pink left to repair these new holes on some very fragile wool socks I’ve repaired in the past. #mendmarch #mendmarch2025
