#Merseyrail and Network Rail really need to install wheel channels at Hamilton Square so that people travelling with ebikes that weigh 30kg+ aren’t left with the choice of throwing their back out or missing a train to go to another station when the platform elevators are broken.
I queued at Sandhills for 45 mins before my backside was on a train seat.
The train I was on only had 4 carriages. The two that left (full to bursting) while I was queueing probably only had 4 as well.
Test events trains had 6.

Going by an angry exchange between a Merseyrail staffer and a customer, it seems there was a shortage of working trains.
It doesn't take much for those fancy new trains to stop working and it takes their 'engineers' far too long to return them to service.

Yesterday, I used the new Tap&Go system #Merseyrail has (finally) introduced. Combined with Network Rail finally pulling its finger out and repairing the escalator at James Street, commuting has become infinitely easier. No longer do I need to leave my bike unattended.
