This is a project I did a few years ago. I photographed the same oak tree throughout the seasons. I found a few more shots from that time and added them to this video.

Snow lies on the ground in a field, the light is subdued and foggy. The sky is white, the image looks almost black and white with a hint of wintery blue. A large oak tree is sillhoutted, it’s branches bare. revealing a beautiful balanced structure, with a thick trunk and many twisted branches growing up and out. Some smaller trees and shrubs grow alongside it, possible remnants of an old hedgerow.
So glad that I braved the sub-zero temperatures for a lunchtime walk. One of my favourite trees is looking glorious ❄️ 📸 #mightyoak
