Camera: Olympus C770UZ (long gone), f/8, 1/1000s, ISO-100, 6mm. When I saw this sunset in my side mirror, I had to pull over to take pics. It was a gorgeous sunset, and many other people did the same. Some even waded into the water to playfully "break" up the plate ice. That water must have been cold, but the air was warmer than usual. I was so glad I was there in those moments and have a record of it.

Mille Lacs Lake, MN, one Thanksgiving. Ice on the lake had broken and drifted to shore. I saw people wading in the water to stomp on it just for fun. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.

Made this drone video of large ice sheets pushing up against the shore to create piles of ice shavings. These are small, but can reach 6 or 8 feet tall. (See piles in distance).
