The #NewEconomicPolicy was enacted by the #Soviet state on #ThisDayInHistory in 1921, replacing some of the #WarCommunism policies that had so badly hurt production. This pragmatic shift under #Lenin effectively created a #MixedEconomy, with significant market elements.
