I finally went back to @hive76.bsky.social after work last night to print off some buttons for the Tangarine faceplate for my #tangara, and recently got the new holographic sleeve for my #mntpocketreform. Building up my collection of shiny modified open hardware devices :D

Permacomputing I’m typing this blog post on a tiny, cute, but powerful purple ARM computer in the hope that I will never have have to buy a whole new machine to replace it. It’s called the MNT Pocket Reform, and it’s a compact 7-inch laptop with open hardware documentation and a modular internal architecture. It includes a clicky mechanical keyboard and a trackball within a portable form factor. My little computer was built by MNT Research GmbH, a Berlin-based hardware manufacturer with very nice people building open-source computing devices in small batches.

I blogged about my cute little open source computer, the #mntpocketreform, and how it is connected to the idea of #permacomputing.

I have realised that I do have my Acorn Pocketbook II which I could write on if the #MNTPocketReform doesn't arrive before my holiday.
I just need to check that the serial cable works with one of my USB serial cables and that I can actually get files off it.
