Before being separated in the chaos, his mother bid him to "Follow the stars." Fox, who had never piloted a Mobile Gear before, awakened his latent Resonant ability and drove the attackers off, saving countless lives. Cornerian Federation forces later recovered the battered Mobile Gear-and its traumatized young pilot- recognizing both as invaluable assets. Now commissioned as a warrant officer onboard the Great Fox, Fox is driven to protect those he holds dear, serving as the lance of Corneria's Mobile Gear corps. Fox's Resonant ability manifests as a shimmer, a constantly shifting starfield that only he can perceive, guiding towards the optimal course of action in any situation.

An enigma to the Cornerian Federation, Falco emerged from the grimy underbelly of the Lylat System's underworld, thriving on its back alleys, shipping lanes and smuggling routes. He's learned to survive through his wits, sharp tongue, and preternatural mechanical aptitude; at a young age he had already built a reputation as a transport pilot who could get anything anywhere, no questions asked - for the right price. During an Venomian ambush on a colony near Fortuna, Falco happened upon the Redtail with an unconcious fox in the cockpit; Falco somehow got the damaged Arframe moving well enough to repel the Venomian attackers, surrendering himself to the Cornerian Federation and joining the unit on the Great fox soon after. He seems to have a hatred for Venom that runs deep and personal, though he refuses to discuss why. Falco has no Resonant ability, latent or otherwise; he's simply one hell of a pilot.

Miyu grew up in the orbital shipyards of the Cornerian Fleet, where her mechanical intuition quickly surpassed even experienced engineers. The daughter of third-generation shipwrights, she could diagnose structural issues by touch and understand complex systems so quickly that she could immediately improve on their schematics. Miyu initially resisted military service, preferring civilian engineering. However, the Venomian attack on the shipyards that injured her parents changed her perspective. She enlisted at 18, quickly rising through the technical ranks due to her unparalleled understanding of Mobile Gear systems. Now stationed aboard the Great Fox, Miyu is in her own personal heaven with the opportunity to work on machines like the Redtail.

Peppy Hare's military career began under extraordinary circumstances: at just 16 years old, he became the youngest soldier ever recruited into the Cornerian Federation's Special Mobile Gear Division. His natural tactical genius and preternatural calm under fire caught the attention of then-Captain James McCloud, who took the young hare under his wing despite their age difference. The golden era of Peppy's career was spent alongside James McCloud, Beltino Toad, and Pigma Dengar in the legendary 64th Special Operations Unit. Their camaraderie seemed unbreakable, at least until a very personal attack by Venomian Forces took James's life and scattered their team to the wind. Peppy remained in service, over time being promoted to command roles, until he eventually took command of the CFV-07 Great Fox, ironically taking the son of his former CO under his own wing. Though his role is to command and coordinate, Peppy is extremely protective of those under his command, and is not above climbing into the cockpit of a mobile gear himself if he believes doing so will keep his people safe.

#wkdart One was not conscripted or salvaged like the other Numbers; he was donated. Born Lord Andrew Oikonny, nephew to Supreme Leader Andross himself, he represents the pinnacle of Venomian aristocracy. His submission to the Numbers program at age 12 was framed as the ultimate patriotic sacrifice; a noble son offering himself as the first and finest weapon for the Dukedom's cause. One's Resonant abilities manifest as a flawless control of his Mobile Gear, with efficient energy management and no wasted motion. Other Resonants are unable to read his movements as he has zero latency between thought and action. Though outwardly vain and haughty, One has come to think of the other numbers as family and often demonstrates genuine concern for them, repeatedly disobeying orders to protect them(though he always claims that he is simply preserving Venomian assets).

A spaceborn child from a colony near Zoness, Vier's only physical connection to her past is a partially melted silver locket. The locket is fused shut, its contents unknown but seemingly precious based on how she protects it. The exterior shows damage consistent with energy weapon discharge, suggesting it may have been damaged during her recruitment into the Numbers Program. A naturally born Resonant, Vier's enhanced abilities manifest through her voice; her singing causes a harmonic disruption that can influence others and can temporarily disable Mobile Gears at its most powerful. She is not above using her power to influence those around her, having grown into a natural manipulator, though she has never been observed doing so to other Numbers.

Fem Fragarach was the youngest child conscripted into the Numbers program, stolen from a Saurian royal family during a Venomian raid on the dinosaur homeworld as just a baby. Even as a small child, his Resonant potential is noted to be quite extraordinary; he can sense other Resonant-sensitive minds from an incredible distance. Deliberate psychological manipulation has kept Fem's emotional and social development at approximately a 7-year-old level, despite his chronological age being several years older. as a result, when not in combat, Fem displays typical childlike behavior - curious, playful, occasionally mischievous. However, upon entering the Gargoyle's cockpit and activating the neural interface, he undergoes a dramatic personality shift into a focused, relentless predator. Fem's Resonant ability manifests as an intuitive understanding of movement and timing that makes combat feel like an elaborate game.

Another child rescued from the ruins of a battlefield, Ewalu has no memory of his early life on Corneria or before the numbers. He bonded easily with the scientists of the Numbers project and has a generally positive demeanor, and enjoys tinkering with technology, often assisting with maintenance and improvements on the mobile gears himself. Ewalu's Resonant abilities uniquely manifest as a type of limited technopathy, a form of "machine empathy" that allows him to understand technology on an intuitive and almost emotional level, often describing different systems as having "personalities" and "moods." Under certain conditions, he is even able to highjack visual and auditory data from active mobile gears, and with his own mobile gear can even wrest control from other's machines, though doing so can cause him significant neural strain in the form of severe migraines and mental fatigue. Ewalu maintains a cheerful disposition in most situations and is well liked among the Numbers, who treat him like a sibling.
