Mr. Otto, the floofy gray cat who features in this photo, is receiving cheek scratches. Scratches that he demanded with very loud and insistent mewling, once he was through with breakfast. Here, you see mostly his left flank, left front paw and the bottom of his chin. Plus, right up int he middle of the foreground, the tip of his feather duster of a tail.

This is Mr. Otto, leaning aristo-catically on his right front leg, with front right paw underlining his leonine neck ruff. Otto the Grey, as he doesn't like to be called, is a cat. A very furry cat. A very perfect and wonderful cat.

Mr. Otto's front left paw, claws digging gently into my neck. Because Mr. Otto wants morning pets and this is one of his favorite ways of requesting them. Mr. Otto is a floofy gray cat, he is a very cute cat.

Mr. Otto is receiving pets: he has laid down against my chest and is exhibiting his oversize front paws. Very floofy, very gray, very cat. The background is a shelf of books that are organized by publisher because they're French and French publishers have a weird fetish for making the spines of their books all look the same.

Close-in view of Mr. Otto's face (especially his NOSE! So cute!) settling in after getting his pets. It's almost monochromatic: Mr. Otto is gray, and he's snuggled against my chest, which is vested in a lighter gray sweatshirt.
