Week 4 of #morningshift. Today, Feb. 17, a PSA: if you hypothetically need to replace your IUD/need to get one and your GYN can’t get you in until, say, October, Planned Parenthood has tons of appts and will likely get you in within a few days to a week. And your new IUD will be good until 2033 🫶🏻

Valentine's Day #morningshift was contacting my Senators again and calling my House Rep about HR 722 - the attempt at a national abortion ban. I'm also going through more clothes and shoes to see what else I can donate to unhoused folks in my community.

Today's #morningshift consisted of emailing my Senators about relevant issues. Then I called about the RFK hearing. In one case I was calling to thank and in the other I was expressing dismay. I also gathered up clothes & shoes that I'll donate to a local charity that supports the unhoused.

Feb. 13: #morningshift today was the early shift at my local reclaimed food kitchen. 224 meals made, 20 sheet pans of potatoes prepped for the oven, and I grated more cheese than I ever have before in my life.
