When I collected this little cushion of Leucobryum moss, I had no idea there was a fern germinating inside.
I don’t know ferns as well as mosses. Does anyone have a guess on the ID? It was collected in Southern Connecticut.

My larger #aquerium #mossarium is finished. Now it just to let the #moss grow like it want to it self. I have used different #spieces of moss I have found here in #Norway, and mixed them up before spreading it. That way I hope to get a #natural #grow-pattern. And the #springtails is in place.

The soil is coconut fibers, peat free soil, cow dung based fertilizer, bonsai lavarock and bark.

Been playing with a new #mossarium. An aquarium tank ca 39x24x28 cm. #lavarock and #coconut fibres are glued to the walls with aquarium silicone, then I add water and powdered soil and moss to the wall, getting it into the crevisses. Plan is to let the moss grow naturally.

My latest #mossarium and one of the four #isopods that inhabit it together with a small #buttload of #sprintails. I dont know the species of isopod, since they just followed in the batch of springtails. All the #moss is found in the #forrests in #norway.

Decided to try to tilt this #terrarium. I know, the lines of the rock and the jar dosent counter #balance the #composition now. But this is just the beginning. #mossarium #moss #blusky #plants #nature #naturallife
